Sep 24, 2021 · I have GoGuardian run on one of my monitors and there's the button to block the site and so I add it to my Scene and poof, no more of that game for them. It was an entertaining game for me with two student who kept searching for alternatives and, shock of all shocks, shortly after those sites would be blocked as well!

Personally, from a "All I care about is content filtering" sysadmin perspective, I prefer Securly - if GoGuardian could fix their DNS filtering, I'd probably change the recommendation. But as it stands, all my GoGuardian school I also need to run a second firewall-level general network content filter alongside it to provide the kind of coverage ...

Jan 4, 2021 · Using GoGuardian on personal computers is a little iffy in my opinion. Of course it does only work if they're logged into their school Google account, which renders it kind of useless on personal devices that aren't locked into using school accounts.

Oct 28, 2022 · I have 2 computer labs where I need to disable Microsoft Edge as we are using GoGuardian for our Chrome users/devices, but students have taken to using Edge in the Windows PC labs to circumvent GoGuardian.

Nov 18, 2023 · I've been dealing with goguardian since the 6th grade (I'm 9th grade) and it gets worse and worse every year. It went from some games being blocked, to now you can't even look up the word game without it being restricted by the administrator. These teachers have complete authority over the technology to the point where you can't even use it.

All that and I'm getting better technical support from Linewize than GoGuardian have in the last 3-5 years. Side note: I've used GoGuardian for approximately a decade and watched the product grow a lot in that time.
